A guided tour of every tab.
Your Complete Edition has 27 connected tabs. This page walks through all of them — what each one is for, and for the tabs you type into, what every field means. It's the same guidance built into the workbook's cell notes, gathered in one place you can read straight through or jump around.
Light cells = you fill in
Type only in the light cells. The darker, shaded cells calculate themselves and are locked — you can't break them.
Use the dropdowns
Many cells have a list. Click the cell for its arrow and pick a value; add your own options on the ⚙️ Setup tab.
Amounts are positive
Enter every amount as a positive number. The tracker works out money in vs money out from the Type or Category you choose.
Enter things once
A bill, a paycheck, an account — you enter it once and every tab that needs it updates automatically.
Jump to any tab
Your money at a glance
Where you land and where you check in. These tabs summarize everything the rest of the workbook calculates — you don't type into them.
👋 Start Here
↑ ContentsThe guided setup. A short checklist walks you through the handful of things to fill in first, ticking each step off as you complete it and showing an "all set" banner when you're done.
- A live 5–6 step checklist — set your details, add accounts, enter income, list bills, log spending, set a budget — each with a ✓ / ○ status.
- A progress bar and a button to jump straight to the ⚙️ Setup tab.
- A short welcome with how it works and a contact link, so you're never stuck.
📊 Dashboard
↑ ContentsYour command center — the whole picture on one screen, updated automatically as you fill in the other tabs. Every section title is a link that jumps to the tab behind it.
- Account Balances and total cash across your accounts.
- Safe to Spend — how much you can spend today and still stay on budget this month.
- Net Worth with a 12-month trend, and your Debt-Free date.
- Needs Attention — overdue bills, low-balance and off-target warnings, and whether each loan is on schedule.
- Bills due over the next 16 days, plus KPI tiles: savings rate, cash flow, emergency fund, spend/mo, income, total debt and more.
- Charts: this-month cash flow, income vs spending over 12 months, top spending, a spending heatmap and your 50/30/20 split.
📅 Calendar
↑ ContentsA month-at-a-glance view of everything with a date — bills, paydays, subscription charges, debt payments and holidays — so nothing sneaks up on you.
- Each bill, subscription and debt payment on its due date; autopay items are marked with a ⚡.
- Paydays and federal holidays, with today highlighted. Opens on the current month.
- An "edit bills" link back to the tabs that feed it — change a due date there and the calendar follows.
Where you type your numbers
The heart of the workbook. Fill these in and everything else — dashboard, budgets, forecasts, net worth — builds itself. Below, each column is explained exactly as its in-cell note describes it.
